My 23 year old boyfriend's grandmother just passed this morning. He was very close to her and he took it pretty hard because he was supposed to visit her yesterday and he didn't. When he heard the news I just hugged him real tight while he cried and didn't say anything, I'm not sure what to say to him, or what to do. I've never been in a relation ship where a loved one died. Any advise?How can I help my boyfriend deal with his grandmother's death?
Pretty much the best thing you can do is what you've already done. You just need to be supportive and allow him to mourn. You just letting him cry and not trying to tell him he needs to get over it is the absolute best thing you can do.How can I help my boyfriend deal with his grandmother's death?
there is not much you can do. just be there for him, and let him know that you will stand next to him and support him, through out the entire way.

Three week ago i lost a sister. She only 17 when that accident happen. I till now can't really accept the fact that i lost my baby sister. Anyway be there with him. clearly she can not be alone at this time. company him all the time. Do you believe in God? Company him to the church he believe. Time will work with the rest.
I've heard stories that some dead relatives come to people after their death to say that they are okay. That's why I think that death is just parting ways. We stay in this world and somebody is taken somewhere else. Also I believe that everybody has his time to leave and many people who have NDE's report about it. So if anyone leaves, it means it is their time. There is nothing in death itself to be afraid of. Though having to part with your close relative or friend is always very difficult. Your bf may benefit from reading this site: adcrf.org, where some doctor collects stories about people who were visited by dead relatives. Maybe not now, but later when he gets better. Just support him and show him that you love him and need him. He must know that he is needed by someone here on Earth and in this life. Blessings.
